$50 Like-A-Bike

Kinda Sorta.

Look what I found at Target today!  From the side!  And from the front!  In this box!

It’s a Chinese rip-off of the German made Like-A-Bike.  I have been oogling that thing since the day I found out I was destined for Fatherhood.

Granted, Target’s design isn’t quite as clean as the original, but what do you want for $230 less?

UPDATE:

Take a look here for a detailed post on how to “lower” your Like-A-Bike.

  1. hey! how does it propel itself?
is it for show? electric? i don’t see any pedals, haha i am so confused.

  2. It’s a bike for little kids. Instead of pedaling, they push themselves along with their feet on the ground. Fred Flintstone style.
Apparently this is how kids learn how to ride a bike in Europe and the UK. No training wheels. They learn how to balance and coast on a little scooter like this.
I haven’t seen many in the US. But they were recently featured in the Rivendell Reader, so that might be changing.
